Validator basics
Validators help produce blocks and secure the network through proof of stake.
The local development profile uses a 3,000 EMBER self-bond floor for validator registration. That is an eligibility threshold, not a promise of active-set selection or rewards. Keep validator signing keys on the validator host and use only testnet funds.
